Maryland coach Mike Ehrmann scored a season-high 29 points and had three of his best offensive performances of the season.
Georgia got a taste of the postseason on Saturday, as sophomore center Morgan Sjostrom put up 12 points and nine rebounds in her first collegiate start.
The Bulldogs’ next game is Tuesday against Florida State.
Marylanders forward Alexa Cisneros had 18 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore guard Brianna Oden added 15 points and eight assists.
Georgia was without senior guard Mariya Shkliak, who suffered a right knee injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s win.
The Terrapin’s next game was Monday night against North Carolina, with Maryland facing the Tar Heels.
Georgia has won seven of eight against the Terps, with two of those victories coming by an average of 17 points.
