Oakland, California — (AP)– NBA Draft 2017 is underway and a handful of the biggest names in college basketball are making the trek down south to the Big Apple for their first trip to the NBA Draft Combine.
The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the teams to be announced, and as expected, the Clippers are among the top teams in the draft.
The Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans are among other teams making the trip, while Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets will be at the Combine.
The Los Angeles Lakers will be the only team that will be making the short trip to Chicago.
The Lakers, who will be hosting the first of their two draft workouts this year, are also in a position to get a second round pick in the first round of the draft, and could move up in the process.
They are in a great position, as the draft is the best in the history of the NBA.
The Lakers will host the draft at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where the NBA is set to take place, on March 24th.
As usual, ESPN’s draft analyst, Mike Breen, will be on hand to provide the big news and provide some insight into the upcoming NBA Draft.
The draft is set for 8:00 a.m.
ET on Wednesday, March 27th.
The Lakers have already announced that they will be bringing Kobe Bryant back to the city of Los Angeles, and have a lot of other big names to announce, including Michael Beasley, Jordan Clarkson, Lonzo Ball, Cody Zeller and D’Angelo Russell.
The team will also announce that they have made a commitment to bring forward Jahlil Okafor back to Los Angeles and will be in attendance.
The Chicago Bulls will also be making their first visit to Chicago this year and have been busy signing big names such as Nikola Mirotic, Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn.
Other teams to attend are the Philadelphia 76ers, the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Hornets.
