In the aftermath of Wisconsin’s historic upset win over #1 Gonzaga, ESPN Stats & Info broke down the Badgers performance in the final two minutes of the game, which saw the Badger defense surrender an incredible 38 points in the fourth quarter.
While Wisconsin’s defense allowed a total of 31 points to Gonzaga during the first half, the Badgs offense was able to make an impression in the second half.
The Badgers were able to pull away in the third and lead for the majority of the half, and then went on to defeat #2 Gonzaga by a score of 64-57.
The result, according to ESPN Stats and Info, is a Big Ten Championship.
The Badgers are now undefeated and the first Big Ten team to claim the title since #2 Ohio State in 2012.
The program is now 2-0 on the season, which ranks sixth nationally, and will begin their second season of NCAA Tournament play at #8 on the standings.
