By Mike FelttPurdue basketball will resume with a preseason exhibition game at the end of September, but coach Dave Purdue said it won’t be until the end the season.
The team is scheduled to play in the Holiday Classic on Jan. 15 at Verizon Center.
“We’ve got a lot of games coming up, and we’ve got to be ready,” Purdue told the Post.
“We’re still very young.
We have a lot to learn.”
The school is hoping to have a full season of basketball by the time the 2018-19 season begins in February.
“There are a lot more things to learn,” Pursee said.
“There are many different styles of basketball we can get involved with.
We’re not going to do a lot until we get there.”
The season opener will be played at Verizon Centre against the Boston College Eagles on Jan, 15.
Purdue says he expects to see more of the same from the team.
“This will be the first time we’ve played at that venue, and that’s going to be an amazing experience,” Purple said.
The first game will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Tickets for the exhibition game go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m., but there will be a limit of six tickets per person.
Tickets can be purchased online, by calling the school at 800-247-6363 or by visiting their website.
